The morning is quiet and the sky is dark. I look out the window across the way and point out the lights in the distance.  Look at the star in the sky, I say to my husband.  It’s the north star he says.   Yes, I smile. It’s the Northstar.

The morning sky is dark and beautiful.  The white clouds are full and contrast against the darkness of the sky.   Thank you for the day I say.

My husband turns up the radio and says, your song is playing.  John Denver’s, “Back Home Again” is on and I start signing along. Home really is where the heart is.

Today it is 22 degrees outside. It snowed and it is accumulatinv.  Dog and I went out on the trails.  Wagging his tail and leading the way he happily hops through the snow. I walk behind him and we see deer tracks in the snow.

The quiet is invigorating and the beauty of nature in winters sleep is mesmerizing. Winter solitude is a time to turn inward and to reflect.

It’s time to pause, slow down.  When there is less distraction, I am more creative.  I love the inspiration found in nature. The colors, the shapes, the landscapes.  I think about possibilities.

Wherever you are, I send you love.  Wherever you are, I send you blessings.  May all find peace this winter season. ❤️🕊️
