In NYC we have titles for public employees. The Bravest for Firefighters, The Boldest for Corrections, The Finest for Cops, The Strongest for Sanitation and the Brightest for Teachers. But what about the nicest?

There are people who move about the world helping others. There are people who have nothing but good intention. They are the nicest, kind souls who bring love and light.

So often people are affected by negativity or people who bring their anger and bitterness to others. Those are often the people who get the most attention. But what about the nicest?

Personally, I have been the reciprocate of kindness and love. Maybe when we’re in the midst of a difficult situation, a guide appears. We don’t always understand it fully but when we step back and we look at it, we do understand, hindsight really is 20/20.

So it seems when we need guidance, we find it. When we really believe and have pure intention, the right people appear at the right time.

You can call these people angels, guides, friends or messengers. They bring love, hope and wisdom with them. They lend you the strength to carry on. They bring you back to the light.

When you are under attack or facing difficulty, know that it’s because you are actually valuable. Stay focused, know that after the storms and thunder the sky clears. Just as these times bring unrest, they will also bring light.

There are people who carry light. They will guide you, comfort you, advise you, cry with you, fortify you. They reignite the flame in you. You carry light too. One more light to clear the darkness for a reason, a season or lifetime.
