Standing in Gratitude

Staying focused on my actions allows me to feel gratitude. I feel gratitude for this life and for all that I have and all that I am. I am grateful for all of the good yet to manifest.

So much happens around us in the course of a day. I work in a large city and I encounter all types of personalities. It would be easy for me to become distracted, and a lot of people would like to see me distracted. That’s sometimes how people are.

I have learned to stay focused on myself and on my growth. Many people are triggered by acts of disrespect or inconsiderate behavior. I understand why. Yes, it’s wrong. People sometimes have bad intention. However, even when bad intention is directed towards us, we can choose not to lose focus.

Ultimately, our success, our thoughts, our life, is of our making. We decide. Our thoughts, emotions and actions are part of our consciousness. When we feel or experience a negative response to someone’s action or words, STOP. Think before you speak or act. Why are you offended?

Are you thinking gratitude, love and calm or are you reacting? If you are reacting its because you have been conditioned to react this way. It’s the norm for a lot of people. It’s what our society teaches.

Don’t give your power and focus away. Anger is a reaction that you have become accustomed to. If you choose to be calm, you will be calm. You have to be aware of this if you want to cultivate calm. Transformation begins when you choose new responses to negativity that you may encounter and pause before acting or speaking.

The more you decide to stay focused on you, your inner world will grow. This is emotional and spiritual growth. Your emotional response is a choice. It can become automatic to stay focused and calm when you consistently act and think in a way where you choose peace. Act in a way to maintain your power.

When you shift your focus to gratitude and the beauty around you, you grow. Stay positive and don’t feed negativity and you will feel amazing. Negativity is fed by the meaning you give to it. If you react to negativity, you are identifying with that negativity. Why does other people’s negativity upset you? Think about it.

You can decide to choose only high frequency interactions, love, gratitude, calm and positivity.

Gratitude is the path to freedom and to a better life. When you develop yourself to stay centered, your internal state allows you clarity. You see beyond the beyond. You choose how your day will go, your week, your month, your life. Inner peace takes time to develop but it starts with gratitude. I am grateful.
