There has been a lot of movement of energy around me. The other day I asked my husband if he was feeling it too. He acknowledged it. Doors opening and closing with the wind. The unseen breath of life, natures messenger seeking attentio . Reminding us that it is best not to resist its flow. It is best not to resist change which is inevitable. It will happen with or without your consent.
The season is changing here. The weather has gotten a little bit cooler, so that has shifted and brought this new energy. The winds are bringing change to us. The energy cannot be seen or held, but it awakens us. It calls us to be conscious, deliberate and aware.
This morning I headed to the lake with dog. The wind invigorating and energizing our steps. As I walked along a path, two feathers greeted me. They were squarely in my path.
My husband and I had been traveling recently and have been discussing plans to make change in our lives. I have to make some decisions which will change my path. I’ve been somewhat unsure, apprehensive. I’m slow to make change, but when I do, I really think about the decisions and possible outcomes in front of me.
The two feathers appeared as a greeting today. They are signs that I am not alone. Things happen around us and get our attention. Two feathers, symbolize a message of harmony and balance. It seems to signify that I should walk forward with good intention and confidence.
We go through personal cycles of change and renewal, just like the natural world. We are connected to the natural world, our ancestors, and every living relative.
Today, I am reminded that I walk with the unseen, as well as those people and things that are indisputably “here”. Affirmations of life, protection and prayer brought to consciousness by the appearance of two feathers.
To return the blessing, I placed a small yellow flower down on top of the feathers. I say a prayer of gratitude. The wind carried them away. Moving them to another place, person and blessing.
Maybe the flower will go into a nest. The color yellow is of joy and clarity. For each blessing I receive, I return one. It’s a way to say thank you. I am reminded today to move forward with trust, love and light.
