Lately I have noticed a trend where people are so strongly attached to their narrative(s) that they project them onto others. They try to make their version of reality universal.

Everyone’s truth, path and experinces are different and unique. Real connection and bonds come from listening and not projecting.

When people project stories or narratives onto others it is mainly because they havent resolved their fears and unhealed experiences. We can not control their growth or desire to improve. However, we can avoid becoming enmeshed with them. When we keep our focus on inner clarity we stay grounded.

When groups try to force narratives, it impacts the way people view each other and interact. When groups believe and share a unhealthy narrative their view and truth becomes distorted.

Group think becomes everything. They deliberately try to prevent others from thinking clearly by attacking them if they challenge the narrative.

Everything they do at that point is viewed through a false lens. They prevent the truth from being told. They keep looping back to their false view. They actively promote it.

Because they project the narrative onto others, they then have to judge them. They rewrite stories and pressure people to share their views or they label people as disloyal.

We see this quite often when people band together to support causes they no nothing about. It’s an indication that many people have lost their spititual center and ability to think independently . False narratives stiffle spiritual growth and integrity.

People go along with narratives others promote because they are told they should. We see people cast votes on issues they know nothing about because a group tells them that it’s the right thing to do. They will make purchases or shun others because they are told to.

When people buy into false narratives they lose authenticity. They become rigid, defensive and emotional. Evidence matters less then belonging because they are now all invested in the narrative.

Fear, anger and loyalty to the narrative matter more then truth. People often act on a belief, not truth. Letting go of narratives that are not ours to carry is a journey back to our truth.

Choose truth over what other people tell you to feel or think. Start to develop inner wisdom. The societal conditioning we grow up with can become ingrained. Unlearning it opens the space for discernment. This is a sacred journey back to your authentic self. The scars people carry fade as they choose truth over conditioning. Your purpose becomes clearer when you reject false narratives, it is easier to see clearly to see truth.

We can invite others to seek clarity and recognize how their unhealed experiences create false narratives. That does’nt mean they will. The most powerful thing we can do is to live our truth and share kindness and our clarity. When we live in peace we encourage others to do the same.

We can hold space for others, but ultimately they are responsible for their transformation. That will only come when and if they acknowledge their truth and shadows.

Ultimately authenticity and the happiness that it brings will be the catalyst for people to change. When they realize that peace comes from living in alignment and developing their highest self, people will no longer feel the need to create false narratives and impose them on others. This is where happiness is found.
