Identity is both seen and unseen. Visual aspects, or the seen aspects of our identity, include our clothing, our race, our visible features, age and weight.

Our unseen identity reveals more important details about us. It describes us on a deeper, more meaningful level. What are your likes, your dislikes, your personality? Who are you? When you think about the visible and invisible aspects, who are you?

We can have multiple identities. I am a wife, a student, a woman, a teacher, a writer. I am sensitive, creative, kind. There are so many more aspects of my personality. It is the same for all of us.

There is a universal identity, and that is, we are human. Separation exists because people make assumptions about others without getting to know them. This happens when the seen aspects of a person come from preconceived thoughts and ideas. We learn these ideas from our society. When we truly connect to others, without judgement, we see and learn their true nature. We will make genuine connections.

When we understand the seen and invisible aspects of ourselves and others we find connection and purpose. The different parts of us tie into our mission and life‘s work. For me, there is joy in creative expression, nature, writing, cooking, teaching and healthy connection with others.

What about you? Who are you? When you develop yourself, you gain an understanding of where your focus should be. All of our life, we will learn and we will expand on our thinking and knowledge. Keeping growing and learning!
