The winter season is wonderful in so many ways. The season is peaceful and quiet. As snow blankets the ground, the earth sleeps. Nature is resting.
This morning I woke up to flurries and the trees were dancing. The wind conducting music, an orchestra, for them to dance to. They moved slowly back and forth, reaching for each other.
After breakfast, I went for a walk with my dog. The weather is still mild. At least it is for the northeast. We have not had any bitter cold. We walked along watching the birds fly in and out of bare trees. I filled up the feeder in the apple tree and put a new suet bar in a feed holder.
When we got back, I sat down with a cup of tea and read online posts. A lot of the posts I read expressed hopes for peace. The universal desire for peace extends to all mankind. I loved reading the sentiments expressing wishes for peace and hopes for a peaceful future.
It is said that troubled souls seek to argue. If we can instead extend peace to everyone regardless of their expression to us maybe we can achieve peace. Let it begin with me.
We mirror our environments, we mirror the people who are around us. Each day we wake up, we are gifted life. This gift of life can be used to uplift, learn, teach, share.
The darkness of winter is countered by light. When you focus on developing light, you counter darkness. When you share your light you help others to develop their light.
In this winter season, let it begin with me. As we begin the new year, let it begin with me. Let me carry light to every person I met and every place I go. Let it begin with me. My hope for the world and all people is for peace. Let it begin with me.
This winter season, prayer groups in North America and around the world will be praying each day for peace. Please take a moment, if you can, every day pause and say a pray for peace. Prayer ripples out to the collective consciousness. Let it begin with me. Peace🕊️
